Have you gotten your children the swine flu vaccine?
Just curious.
I personally am not getting my 16 month old vaccinated. I feel that the vaccine was whipped up too readily in response to this outbreak. It is too experimental. Who is to say what the long term effects will be. Plus, I survived with no annual flu vaccine.
Love your guys quirky “I survived” stories..let’s hear some more. You guys are rude!
If it isn’t new or any different than the seasonal flu vaccines then why did they do the trial shots on volunteers first?
And I am not against vaccines. He has all the other ones except the flus.
Vaccination is a big subject. Far too much for just a comment in a forum. I have been studying the subject for 15 months since my LO was born. Every day I read more from both sides of the argument. People feel v strongly on both sides, depending on whether your 1 month old caught whooping cough off an unvaccinated person, or your child suffered an ADR and which you are trying to prove was due to a vaccination. Its a mine field full of information, in which the right wording can convince an objective person to take either side.
My opinion is that vaccinations in general are a good thing, but there should be a v good reason to vaccinate the whole population, especially when there is no proof of long term effects. Certain vaccinations dont forfill this criteria. I think swine flu is one of them. Yes there have been a few deaths, but in general its a mild illness. I certainly wont be a guineepig in the UK, especially as they chose the cheaper vaccine. Interesting to write to ur health visitors and doctors to see if they are having the vaccination.
