Dems – is the flu outbreak worth it?

It seems to me many of yous democrats are happy to capitalize on this swine flu, using it as an opportunity to blame the repubs for getting hundreds of millions for pandemic prep. out of the ’stimulus.’

Are you glad this flu has appeared in such a timely way? If it means unseating a few repubs, would it be worth perhaps 10,000 americans losing their lives to this flu? Will you be disappointed if it fizzles out, since your party won’t be able to capitalize on the issue anymore?

Do you feel the DHS, CDC and whichever other federal agencies are involved in pandemic preparations are inadequately staffed and/or funded? Are their budgets simply not large enough to do whatever the heck the gov’t is supposed to do in the event of a flu outbreak?

Thanks, looking forward to your honest answers.

It’s the flu – No amount of preparation is going to stop it.

All you can really do is send out a PSA telling people to wash their hands and hope for the best.

The swine flu is the flu, there have been several hundred American cases reported with no deaths because in America you have access to antibiotics and fresh water.

Tamiflu isn’t a vaccine – there actually isn’ t a vaccine or the swine flu.

The bush administration stockpiled a bunch of Tamiflu, which is the most ridiculous drug out there. It is a treatment for the flu whose common side effect resemble the flu.

It also has a side effect of psychosis.

This whole swine flu “pandemic” is completely non threatening to most people who have access to medical care, antibiotics and clean water. And really the only thing you can do to stop a pandemic is seal your boarder – and well it is far to late for that. So wash your hands.
