swine flu boise
do you think i’ll get the swine flu?
i live in boise, idaho. my brother and 9+ people he knows are sick with what everyone suspects to be the swine flu.
he is being ‘quarantined’ upstairs, and i’m living downstairs in the guest bedroom. he isn’t allowed downstairs, even though he never came downstairs much before he was sick anyway.
i use the downstairs bathroom and shower now, too.
i use hand sanatizer constantly, and i wear a surgical mask and gloves if i need to go upstairs to get something.
what do you think the chances are of me getting swine flu? 50/50? or do you think im 100% screwed and theres nothing to do about it? haha. that’s what i think!
Well Swine Flu is essentially the normal flu, and spreads in a similar fashion. So long as you do not handle objects that the person with the flu has coughed on etc, you should be fine. The chances of getting a virus is difficult to calculate due to each individuals difference in immune system response. However, the symptoms of the Swine Flu and of the normal flu are essentially exactly the same. Once again, as long as you don’t rub coughed-on objects all over your face, and your brother doesn’t sneeze on you, you should be fine.
